Saturday, November 12, to Saturday, November 19: Preparing for the Next Chapter

Saturday was a good day to continue working on the new trailer.  Becky had already mounted a towel rack and the toilet paper roll.  The second towel rack arrived, but it was not the right size.  The company sent the wrong item.  Becky will call the company on Monday and have them send the correct one.

The truck is still playing tricks and is displaying various idiot lights.  Becky took the truck to Sandoval’s to have them check the battery.  All was okay.  She also visited the Car Quest store in Williams.

Sunday night, Becky was invited by Shaula Watson to go to an event at the Lost Canyon Young Life Camp.  It was a Thanksgiving dinner hosted by all of the Williams churches.  The Young Life Camp was gorgeous. It was just a mile or two south of town.  The hall where the dinner took place was huge.

On Monday, Becky decided it was time to vacuum and to wash the marble floors.  She also rearranged the two large dog crates --- so that they are more central to the living room.

Amazingly quick, the Christmas cards arrived by mail.  Becky will get on that project when she gets back from Hawaii.  Walgreens did not send enough envelopes, so Becky called them and more are being mailed out.

Tuesday was the day to finish moving items into the trailer and move it into the garage.  Becky hooked up the truck with the trailer hitch and backed it up to the trailer.  She was successful in connecting the trailer.  Neighbor Jim Ramsey came over.  He helped her back the trailer into the RV barn.  It fits perfectly!

Becky ordered the IZ CD that she and Richard enjoyed so much --- The Best of Isreal Kamakawiwo’ole.  Over the Rainbow is the best!

The truck would not start Thursday morning.  In need of a massage with Natanya, she hoped on her bike and road over two miles to keep her appointment.

After the 90 minute massage appointment, Becky called AAA auto service to have someone come to her home and start the truck.  She also called James at J&Js Auto Service.  She needed to have the truck fixed before the weekend.  James said to come as soon as she could.

Sandoval’s came and started up the truck and Becky loaded up the dogs --- to head over to J&Js.

At J&Js, James said the problem was the starter.  It was going bad.  He said it would take several hours to fix.  So, Becky and the dogs started a long walk to the True Value Hardware store and back again.  It was fixed by 4pm.  Yeah!

Friday, Becky dropped off the three dogs at Cinder Hills Pet Resort.  She had already completed packing for Hawaii.

Saturday morning, Becky drove to Los Angeles.  She met Barbara Coad around 3pm.  They ran some errands in Manhattan Beach.  Beautiful sunset.

Diane Chierichetti and Paul Basile hosted Becky and Barbara at their home for dinner and the evening.
